The 6th Generation Camaro

It seems like only recently we all witnesses the unveiling of the 5th Generation Camaro at the 2006 North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Michigan. This was the return of the Camaro since the 2002 model year.

Already an American Icon, the return of the Camaro took off first on the internet. Car clubs, user groups and forums went crazy and still maintain a very high level of traffic. This has evolved to National and International annual events that draw hundreds of cars and thousands of visitors from all over the world.

On December 19, 2012, GM announced the next-generation Chevrolet Camaro will be assembled at the Lansing Grand River (LGR) Assembly Plant in Lansing, Michigan. This returns assembly to US soil, something we haven't seen since the last 1992 Camaro rolled off the line at the GM Van Nuys, California assembly plant. This move will consolidate assembly with two other GM cars, the Cadillac CTS and ATS.

This move is rumored to create 1,500 jobs for the City of Lansing and will be built in the recently renovated location as the Cadillac ATS. What are your thoughts about American Muscle returning to America? We think this is a great move by GM! Welcome back Camaro!
